Matrix compliments its coating equipment with a line of part pretreatment
machines. The type of pretreatment required is process and product
dependant and can range from aqueous part washing, solvent part
washing, UV pre-treatment (prior to coating) and flame or plasma
pre-treatment (prior to coating).
These
methods are used to clean the part surface and to modify the surface
energy, thus increasing part aesthetics and the paint adhesion
to the part surface.
Pictured
is an innovative aqueous washing system that incorporates a wash,
multi-stage rinse, part blow-off, and heated dry to provide a
part suitable for coating. This system can be designed for high
or low production requirements, and is an excellent choice for
pre-treatment.
Standard equipment
features include:
Modular
design
- Integrated HMI and PLC controls
- Insulated stainless steel interior
- Non-corroding fluid handling materials including stainless
steel, CPVC, EPDM or Teflon
- Heated wash and rinse tanks
- Parallel filtration on each fluid stage
- Chemical injection system(s) for a wash or rinse additive
- Quick-disconnect adjustable fluid nozzles
- A high-pressure, blower driven part blow-off
- Indexing style conveyor with stainless steel track and chain
(conveyor style is part dependent)
- Insulated drying oven
- Offsite system run-off capability
- Complete system start-up and commissioning
Optional equipment
or services available:
- Multi-stage parallel filtration
- Automatic fluid handling valves
- VFD blower control (simplify system air balance)
- RO and/or DI water supply system
- Integrated and installed supply air handler
- Process part holders
- Remote dial-up or Ethernet troubleshooting support (dependant
on controls system hardware)
- System installation
- System mezzanine to maximize plant floor space
