Conforming Matrix manufactures Leak Testing and Pressure Decay Equipment specifically designed to meet your application requirements. Customized leak test circuits and instruments are available to meet the most unique of requirements. Whether as part of the assembly process or as a dedicated machine, we incorporate leak or pressure testing that will verify component acceptability. Below are some testing methods that can be incorporated:
Pressure Decay Testing - Tests a pressurized part with air that is allowed to stabilize. After stabilization, the pressured part is monitored to determine if it is beyond an acceptable range.
Pressure Increase Testing – This happens when the inside of a part is pressurized and the outside of the part is contained inside of a test container. The pressure inside the container is monitored and if the part leaks, the pressure increases.
Vacuum Decay Testing - This is similar to pressure decay, except the part is drawn to a vacuum instead of being pressurized. If the part leaks, air travels into the part to raise the pressure.
Reasons for leak, vacuum or pressure testing:
- Stabilize the manufacturing process
- Verify a compnent's integrity and reliability
Commodities requiring
leak or pressure testing:
- Headlight lenses and housings
- Taillight lenses and housings
- Engine or transmission components (fuel injectors, balance covers, etc.)
- Tubing components (multiple chambers)
