PVD Chrome Coating Systems

Conforming Matrix provides PVD (Physical Vapor Deposition) coating systems for a variety of applications.
PVD is a new environmentally green technology that provides a strong alternative to traditional chrome plating. The PVD process provides a coating with increased durability and uses no hazardous chemicals and does not create hazardous byproducts. In addition, PVD provides a 90% savings in weight and can be applied on die-cast, brass, steel or stainless steel substrates.
The PVD chrome coating process does not require a chemical dip tank used in traditional chrome plating. Instead PVD uses a process that combines a vacuum metallization chamber with powder coating to provide a more durable coating with significant manufacturing production advantages.
Applications for PVD chrome coating include:
- Automotive wheels, fascia, trim
- Medical surgical tools, prosthetics, dental implants
- Decorative bathroom and kitchen fixtures, door hardware, watches, putters
- Industrial moulds, dies, drill bits, gears, pistons, valves, fasteners
- Home appliances, architectural hardware, guns, sports equipment
