The History of Conforming Matrix

Conforming Matrix opened in 1939 by creating a Matrix tool that allowed specific areas of a part to be spray painted. We have been finding solutions ever since.

The need for more precise application and confinement of paint brought about many Conforming Matrix innovations through the years:

• 1949- the first air operated spray painting system for production work
• 1951 - the first custom mask washing machine
• 1950’s through the 70’s - pressure contact systems, single spindle systems, rotary table systems, and multi-color application systems
• 80’s - finishing systems, innovative tooling and masking, secondary tooling, product specific automation and the employment of articulating robotics
• 90’s - transitioned to a full service systems provider, moved into a state of the art manufacturing facility and became established as a world leader in automated UV and thermal coating and curing systems

Today, Conforming Matrix specializes in the manufacture of equipment and machinery that can take your components (molded, cast, machined, formed, etc.) from initial production; to final verification and assembly. Manufacturing capabilities include complete fabrication, machining, electrical wiring, programming, nest casting, painting, assembly and equipment try out/run off in our 40,000 square foot facility.
